COVID-19 COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
Weber’s is committed to protecting our staff and guests from COVID-19 without compromise. In addition to the procedures listed below, we are following full guidance from the State of Michigan, The CDC, OSHA, and The National Restaurant Association. We have developed a COVID-19 preparedness and response plan to mitigate, and properly respond to, any possible infection. Being family owned and operated means closer attention to detail and higher dedication to the health and safety of our guests, community, and staff. Thank you for your cooperation and trust during this difficult time.
FOOD SERVICE SAFETY
Weber’s Restaurant and The Habitat have large dining rooms which will allow us to adequately space diners 6 feet or more apart. In addition, all staff will be wearing masks, both in front of house and back of house. Salt, pepper, and sugar will not be set on tables but, instead, available upon request. All buffet services will be discontinued. Reservations are highly recommend as we will not allow guests to wait for tables in our lobby. Powerful ventilation hoods will drive air circulation. Disposable menus will be used. Safe food handling practices will continue and be overseen by our multiple ServeSafe certified managers.
EXPECTATIONS OF OUR GUESTS
Weber’s will be taking the temperature of guests as they enter our building. Any guest who has a temperature above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will be denied service and any reservation or room accommodations will be cancelled. Guests will be asked screening questions before entering, per CDC guidelines. We will not admit guests who have any symptoms of COVID-19 or who have come in contact with someone who has COVID-19. 6 feet social distance and face masks are required while on the property at all times, with the exception of when guests are at their table to dine.
PRIVATE DINING
Our restaurant seating will be spaced the standard 6 feet apart. For those who want to maximize their distance from other diners, you can take advantage of private dining in one of our many private rooms. We are offering reduced rates during the pandemic. Learn more by calling us at 734-769-3237.
VENTILATION
Weber’s kitchen uses four hood exhaust fans. In normal times, we run two ‘make-up air’ units that blows air into the kitchen in to equalize air flow. Due to the pandemic, we will not be running our ‘make-up air’ units. What this means is that the kitchen hoods will suck outside air into the building from our exterior doors. As you can imagine, this leads to a very expensive heating bill but plenty of fresh air.
